About the Reporter
Vivian graduated May 5, 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Memphis, where she was also a member of the Track and Field team. Currently, Vivian works as the multimedia producer for Creep Radio. Before interning with Creep, Vivian was the morning show producer for Crunk for Christ Radio, where she also co-hosted the morning show.
Vivian began her broadcasting career during her sophomore year at WUMR U92, the on campus jazz radio station. There, she hosted a bi-weekly live broadcast of the jazz top ten countdown. She also assisted in the production of the weekly 30 minute show, Spotlight 92, by editing it on the computer program, Adobe Audition.
During her junior year, Vivian became a reporter for Insight News, U of M's on campus news station, where she was able to get hands on experience in the production of a news cast. As a reporter, she wrote, shot, and edited her own news stories that were used in the pre-recorded reproduction of Insight on WKNO once a week.
Vivian's experience with Insight landed her an internship with WMC-TV Action News 5. As a intern, Vivian contributed weekly stories to their online website, Your Neighborhood, as well as provided story idea inputs in the daily meetings. She also received the opportunity to observe the operations of a news room, before, during and after a live show.
Now that she is graduated, Vivian would like to pursue a career in television, news, or radio production.
